Coach Kari Wright

Head Coach

Coach Wright started playing baseball at the age of six before softball was offered in her area. She played high school softball at William H. Taft in San Antonio, TX where she helped lead her team to multiple district championships, four straight playoff appearances, and was a UIL state softball runner up for two seasons. After high school, Wright continued her playing career at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX, where she played 4 years and as a two-time All-American catcher she helped lead the Hilltoppers to an NCAA Division II Softball World Series appearance. Coach Wright graduated from St. Edward's in 2002 with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in English. Wright began her teaching and coaching career in 2009 at Medina ISD, from there moved to Mcneil High school from 2014-2018, after a short stint at San Antonio Brennan from 2018-2020 she accepted the head coaching position at East View High School in Georgetown in 2020. During her first season at the helm, the Patriots finished second in district, qualified for the playoffs finishing with an overall record of 27-8.

Coach Kyle Sanford

Assistant Coach

Kyle Sanford has worked with the Georgetown Independent School District as an SRO for the past five years. Coach Sanford is in his second season as an EV volunteer assistant softball coach and has over ten years experience coaching select/travel ball. Coach Sanford attended Corpus Christi King HS playing both football and baseball. After High School, Coach Sanford was recruited to Sul Ross State University as a multiple sport collegiate athlete. Coach Sanford played four years of college baseball, starting three years as an outfielder and started all four years of football at Sul Ross State University earning American Southwest Conference honors and multiple SRSU post season awards

Coach Shane Moses

Assistant Coach

This is Coach Moses first season as an assistant Softball coach at EV.  He has been coaching HS baseball/softball for over 20 years and travel/select for 15 years.  Coach Moses played both baseball and football in high school. He attended Riverside Community College after high school playing baseball and was selected in the 13th round of the Major League Baseball draft. After his playing career was over he returned to school and graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with a degree in business administration and economics. Coach Moses has been teaching mathematics for over 25 years.
